Lucien’s Manor in Berlin, NJ hosts hundreds of events and special occasions every year. To help offset their energy expenses and generate additional revenue, SolareAmerica has designed a unique system combining form and function by constructing a 406.35 kW solar canopy generating 450,000+ kWh of clean renewable energy production for Lucien’s incredible events and environmentally conscience guests.The canopy will be the largest privately owned solar canopy in New Jersey and the largest solar project in the city of Berlin.
This innovative solar canopy system:
- Covers 80% of Lucien Manor’s electrical costs
- Eliminates an estimated 7,710 tons of carbon emissions or the equivalent of planting 308,400 trees over the life of the system.
- The first wedding and banquet facility on the east coast to go fully solar
- New modular elevated solar racking system provides 33-40% more solar power than the traditional solar canopy design
- Proprietary technology and design developed in partnership with Tamburri Associates
- Fully compliant with 1603 Grant guidelines
